Reynolds - Freezer Paper

Freezer Paper

  • Freezer paper has two sides: a dull, paper side which has the texture of typing paper and a shiny side which is plastic-coated. The dull side allows you to place the paper over a pattern and trace the markings with a pencil. The shiny side will stick to fabric when pressed with a hot iron. It will not harm the fabric nor leave a residue when it is easily peeled off. The extra bonus is that it keeps the fabric stable as you work with it.
  • Great for appliqué - draw the desired design on the dull side of the paper.  Cut out and iron the design to the top of the fabric (shiny side down).  Turn fabric under using the freezer paper design as a guide.  When applique complete, peel off freezer paper.  You can usually re-use this piece several times.
  • Freezer Paper is used as a carrier for printing on fabric.  (Fabric should be pre-treated with Bubble Jet Set.)
  • Cut freezer paper to A4 size - remove all threads as you do not want them caught in your printer.
  • Iron freezer paper (shiny side down) to the wrong side of the fabric.  The freezer paper gives the fabric just enough body for it to pass through the printer, as if it were a piece of paper.
  • Freezer paper -13.5 yards x 15" (12.1M x 381cm).
