A charm quilt is traditionally made from pieces
all cut to the same shape, and each made from a different fabric.
How
to use the sneak peak preview.
Hold windows over fabric to envision how it will
appear when sewn in a
block.
Rotate for different effects.
After locating the most pleasing position of the fabric design, use a
fabric marker and make a light dot through the preview holes.
Remove template and use a ruler to draw
lines to connect the dots.
This automatically adds a ¼" seam allowance to the shape.
Cut out the shape on the lines.
Use the handy purse size previews when fabric
shopping to check effects
of
fabric designs.
Previews may also be removed from chain and used individually.
The Sneak Peek Preview can also be used as a
value finder.
Placed on fabric, the red will filter out color to reveal light and
dark
values of the fabric.
Quilt designs are most effective when a variety of light, medium and
dark
fabrics are used.
