How to measure a Hexagon

The correct way to determine the size of a hexagon is to measure one of the outer edges.  DO NOT measure across the widest part of the hexagon, or from one flat edge to another.

eg - One Inch Hexagon

- Each outer edge of the hexagon will be 1".

- Measuring across the hexagon at the widest area will be 2".

- Measuring from flat edge to flat edge will be 1½".

Don't be confused - always measure one of the 6 sides to determine the correct size of the hexagon.
